Registration is handled by our regional administration (WISERA). Please follow the steps below to register. Once registration is complete, you will receive your welcome pack and be contacted by a member of IWW Suomi to finalise your membership, including the payment of your monthly dues.

Instructions for Registration

STEP ONE> Click here to fill out the application.

In the form you can find all the information relevant to the application process, the terms of joining, the aims and constitution of IWW – WISERA, and the union’s Private Policy regarding Personal Data.

Guidance to completing application:

• First select whether you are a “NEW, TRANSFERRING OR RETURNING MEMBER?“
• Next, fill in your information under “YOUR DETAILS“. Notes: Including a Surname is optional. You can use a pseudonym for First Name. Email address must be a valid one. Avoid using Hotmail or Outlook email addresses because they sometimes cause issues.
• Finally Click ‘SUBMIT’. You will now receive an email with a link to the full application. Click the link in the email.

STEP TWO > Fill out the full application received via email.

Guidance to completing the full application:

• Under “PAYMENT DETAILS“, choose “I want to pay in Euros”
• In “Monthly dues”, select the amount closest to suggested amounts below (On Monthly Income after Tax):
  • Unemployed or Self-employed – €1
  • Less than €500 – €2
  • Between €500 to €999 – €5
  • Between €1000 to €1500 – €10
  • €1500 or above – €15
  • New members are encouraged to make a voluntary contribution of an additional €5 to cover registration costs.
• SUPER IMPORTANT: In “Will pay by monthly recurring card payments through Go Cardless, the IWW’s third-party payment provider” choose NO. Notes: We will contact you separately after the application to organise payments through local banking.
• Fill out your information under “DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION“. Notes: Surname is optional. You can use a pseudonym for First Name. Street address must be a valid one as you will receive your welcome pack and membership card through the post.
• IMPORTANT: Under “Are you joining as a PAWA member (Pan African Workers’ Association)?” choose NO. Notes: A local chapter of PAWA is currently being setup, however this will be administered directly through IWW Suomi.
• Enter your information and preferences under “ACCESS REQUIREMENTS“.
• Enter your information under “EMPLOYMENT DETAILS“. Note: The IWW will never under any circumstances contact your employer without your permission.
• (OPTIONAL) Enter your information under “MEMBERSHIP IN OTHER UNIONS & SKILLS THAT MAY BE OF USE TO THE IWW“.
• Sign with your submitted First Name / Surname.
• Click the “Submit Form” button at the bottom of the page.

STEP THREE > Application Complete – Wait to hear from us

The Fellow Workers of the regional IWW administration (WISERA) will process your application and send your membership package, including your membership card, to the address you provided. IWW Suomi will be notified of your application and will contact you to arrange your dues payment, and to provide information about communication channels, monthly meetings, trainings, and how to get organised.
